High School Is Not Part Of A Sports Team - 1821 Words

In high school, I was an outsider, because I was not part of a sports team. However, that does not mean that I was classified as a specific group. I tried everything a high school can offer. I tried sports, music, theater, band, art, academic clubs, and more. The school administration would think me as someone who the high school would not benefit from. Concord-Carlisle High School in Concord, MA is a very sports-centered school. The school takes so much pride in sending student-athletes to division 1 sports school. There were several times when the driveway of my house would be filled with open cat food and whipped cream, and other times the mailbox would be on its side. Someone in my school attacked me. I still have no idea who did it, because no matter how many times we seek for help, all we get in return is suggestions on how I should get mental help because they think that I became a depressed child after these incidents. Why can’t they figure out that I am a strong child trying to find justice? This is not the only time that the school administration was trying to shut the voice of the victim. There was a similar situation in Concord – Carlisle Regional high school. As described in the article, â€Å"A Happy School Life Lost to Unseen Tormentors†, written by Evan Allen, a girl’s high school life was ruined by the graffiti on her car. The whole story starts when a girl files a â€Å"lawsuit against the towns of Concord and Carlisle, the Concord – Carlisle School district, and three school administrators† (Allen). Concord – Carlisle high school administration does not want this case to ruin the reputation of the school, so they did everything they can to shut the girl’s mouth. According to the girl, there were not only graffiti on her car every day but also â€Å"death threats† (Allen). All the girl and the family wanted was the help of the school to find the bully or bullies, who constantly terrorized the girl’s car every day. Unfortunately, because the school is so focused, not on the safety of a student, but a reputation of student – athletes, the school administration did not do anything to keep the student safe. Another al Qaeda top echelon leader has been killed on January 11  in Miranshah in North Waziristan through this alleged ‘coordination’. The new ‘information’ — including quotes from unnamed Pakistani officials — belies much of that. It purports to verify that the Pakistani side was indeed keeping the strikes secret and, instead of passing on the information to the terrorists, was actually helping the CIA target them with spotters on the ground. Given the nature of these revelations, it remains to be seen what the Pakistani military’s response will be to them. One should understand that the drone attacks have been a success story as far as the US and its allies are concerned. The ‘analysis’ about the ‘wiping out’ of al Qaeda and the sharp diminution in its ability to target America and Europe is based on the number of al Qaeda terrorists killed by the drones inside Pakistan. As if to confirm this, a meeting took place between an al Qaeda leader and Mullah Umar in the presence of other commanders in which the al Qaeda representative was quoted as appealing for help for more attacks by allies in Pakistan. Pakistan’s wrath against the CIA after the Raymond Davis case in Lahore early 2011 had brought the  US-Pakistan quarrel to a boiling point. Since then, and since the May 2 attack that killed Osama bin Laden, the relationship has been hurtling downhill, ending in Pakistan’s decision not to attend the Bonn conference on Afghanistan. This would then lead to many arguing that with this all as a backdrop, how Pakistan could possibly be cooperating with the US on the drone attacks. Yet there is logic to the opposite point of view. Pakistan has benefited from the attacks in the sense that some of its most dangerous enemies have been killed by the drones. BaitullahMehsud, the Taliban chief, whose intercepted telephone call revealed that he was behind the assassination of Benazir Bhutto, was killed by a drone. As the customers falling under this category could spend a good amount on a lavish stay, hence they are easily attracted towards the uniqueness of a place. To offer exclusive services the lodge could incorporate changes in its rooms interior. Moreover, the cuisines and menu could also be amended to give different experiences to the tourists. However, this may require a pre- analysis of the tastes and cultural backgrounds of the tourists, so that t he lodge can offer them something different from their monotonous life.
